Objetivo: determinar el nivel de adopción del rol materno en madres primerizas que acuden a un Hospital Público de Ferreñafe, 2024. Método: Se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo, transversal. Se realizó en el Hospital Referencial de Ferreñafe, con una población de 76 madres primerizas, la muestra fue censal, el muestreo fue no probabilístico, por conveniencia. El instrumento usado fue el cuestionario denominado “Escala de adopción del rol materno” el cual fue validado por juicio de expertos según Alfa de Cronbach=0.94 y prueba piloto con Alfa de Cronbach=0.80. Se tomaron en cuenta las consideraciones Éticas establecidas en el informe de Belmont. Resultados: El nivel de adopción del rol materno de las participantes de manera general fue de nivel medio (63.2%). A nivel específico, tres factores predominan en la adopción del rol materno: en el microsistema, dimensiones como la estimulación, el contacto con el rol y las expresiones maternales alcanzaron un nivel medio de adopción del rol materno. En el mesosistema, la interacción con la pareja alcanzó un nivel medio (61,8%), y la interacción con la familia obtuvo un nivel alto. En el macrosistema, los cuidados, el conocimiento y la cultura también lograron un nivel alto. Conclusión: La investigación realizada demuestra que existe un nivel medio de adopción al rol materno, pero se le exhorta al personal de salud a seguir realizando intervenciones de promoción y fortalecimiento del vínculo madre-hijo a favor de fortalecer el desarrollo integral del niño, así como el apoyo emocional y social en el proceso de maternidad, a través de la educación para la maternidad en los controles prenatales, planificación de visitas domiciliarias y sesiones educativas.The adoption of the maternal role is an interactive and evolutionary process that allows a healthy bond between mother and child to ensure the child's emotional, physical and psychological development. It was carried out at the Ferreñafe Reference Hospital, with a population of 76 first-time mothers, the sample was census, the sampling was nonprobabilistic, for convenience. The instrument used was the questionnaire called "Maternal Role Adoption Scale" which was validated by expert judgment according to Cronbach's Alpha = 0.94 and a pilot test with Cronbach's Alpha = 0.80. The ethical considerations established in the Belmont report were taken into account. Results: The level of adoption of the maternal role by the participants in general was medium (63.2%). At a specific level, three factors predominate in the adoption of the maternal role: microsystem, mesosystem and macrosystem. In the microsystem, dimensions such as stimulation, contact with the role and maternal expressions reached a medium level of adoption of the maternal role, while well-being, concern and protection reached a high level. In the mesosystem, interaction with the partner reached a medium level (61.8%), and interaction with the family obtained a high level. In the macrosystem, care, knowledge and culture also reached a high level.
