Relación del grosor gingival con la tabla ósea vestibular medida en tomografías cone-beam en centro radiológico de Trujillo 2023

Abstract

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación del grosor gingival con la tabla ósea vestibular medida en tomografías cone-beam. El estudio tuvo un diseño observacional relacional. Materiales y método: El grosor de la encía y de la tabla ósea vestibular de los incisivos centrales, se midieron en cuatro puntos de referencia (de 1-4mm desde la cresta alveolar hacia apical) en tomografías cone-beam de 100 pacientes. Se utilizó la prueba de correlación de Pearson para evaluar la correlación entre el hueso bucal y el grosor de la encía de la premaxila para cada profundidad entre los 2 incisivos centrales superiores. Resultados: De los incisivos centrales, el promedio del espesor gingival fue de 1.04±0.96 mm para la pieza 11 y 1.25±1.78 mm para la pieza 21, el promedio del espesor ósea vestibular fue de 1.00±0.22mm para la pieza 11 y 0.98±0.19mm para la pieza 21. El grosor de la tabla ósea vestibular en ambos dientes fue menor a nivel de la cresta ósea alveolar; y fue aumentando en cada uno de los niveles de medición a un 1mm, 2mm y 3 mm de la cresta hacia apical. Se observa la correlación entre el espesor gingival y de la tabla ósea vestibular a diferentes niveles de la cresta ósea, el promedio de grosor gingival con el espesor de la tabla ósea vestibular en la pieza 11 se obtuvo una r de Pearson de -0.018, mientras que. al correlacionar el promedio de grosor gingival con el grosor de la tabla ósea vestibular en la pieza 21 se obtuvo una r de Pearson de 0.082. Conclusiones: se encontró una tendencia a que el espesor gingival aumente y el espesor óseo disminuya hacia el ápice de la raíz, se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los espesores gingivales y óseo bucal y la correlación entre el grosor de la tabla ósea vestibular y el grosor gingival no fue significativa.

This study aimed to determine the relationship of gingival thickness with the buccal bone table measured in cone-beam tomography. The study had a relational observational design. Materials and method: The thickness of the gingiva and the buccal bone table of the central incisors were measured in four reference points (1-4mm from the alveolar crest towards the apical) in cone-beam tomography scans of 100 patients. Pearson's correlation test was used to evaluate the correlation between buccal bone and premaxillary gingival thickness for each depth between the 2 maxillary central incisors.
