Análisis del patrón facial y la sonrisa en pacientes que acuden a un centro odontológico, Chiclayo 2023

Abstract

La investigación realizada tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el patrón facial y la sonrisa de los pacientes que acudieron al Centro Odontológico L& K Dental Care entre los meses de noviembre y diciembre del 2023, para lo cual se diseñó un estudio observacional de tipo transversal, con nivel de investigación explicativo, donde la muestra estuvo conformada por 81 pacientes a los cuales se les realizó registros fotográficos para que a través de una ficha estandarizada poder evaluar los 8 componentes de la sonrisa según Roy Sabri y el índice de patrón facial morfológico (mesoprosopo, euriprosopo y leptoprosopo); estableciéndose que la línea labial, en el patrón facial Euriprosopo prevaleció la Baja (54.2%), Mesoprosopo y Leptoprosopo, la media (67.5% Y 51.9% respectivamente); por otro lado, en el Componente dentario. No aceptable fue la respuesta que lideró en los pacientes con patrón facial Euriprosopo (91.7%) y además de ello se evidencio la relación entre el patrón facial y la línea labial a nivel global de las variables, así como en el caso del grupo de edad de entre 20 a 29 años, p=0.004.The objective of the research carried out was to determine the relationship between the facial pattern and the smile of the patients who attended the L& K Dental Care Dental Center between the months of November and December 2023, for which a cross-sectional observational study was designed. with an explanatory research level, where the sample was made up of 81 patients who underwent photographic records so that through a standardized sheet they could evaluate the 8 components of the smile according to Roy Sabri and the pattern index facial morphological (mesoprosopo, euryprosopo and leptoprosopo); establishing that the labial line, in the Euriprosopo facial pattern, Low prevailed (54.2%), Mesoprosopo and Leptoprosopo, the average (67.5% and 51.9% respectively); On the other hand, in the dental component.
