The present investigation focused on providing a solution to the challenges faced by a state police institution belonging to the city of Chiclayo, in order to improve the monitoring process and assignment of commissions to troops in service. To this end, various tests were carried out that allowed the identification of the factors that caused deficiencies in unforeseen situations during the day. The main problems identified included delays in locating personnel, responses indicating that they were busy on other errands, and even providing incorrect location information, resulting in loss of time and, sometimes, late arrivals at the required locations. To address these issues, a software product was developed that met the specific requirements of the institution and ensured security and reliability in its operation. In the development rocess, the SCRUM methodology was applied, facilitating the analysis of the existing problem and the implementation of the proposed solution. The final product consisted of a web and mobile application that took advantage of geolocation services to track the location of troops and assign errands to them more efficiently. The quality of the software was evaluated according to three criteria of the ISO 25000 standard: functional adequacy, security and reliability, obtaining high levels of compliance in each of these aspects. Finally, the software underwent validation by end users, following the TAM standard, and obtained a high degree of acceptance by these users.
