Over time, our country has become one of the most prominent aggregate producers in Latin America. The country's GDP has increased from 2.87% to 4.14%. Many aggregate factories are located in rural areas or on the outskirts of cities, where electricity grids are often limited for aggregate crushing operations. It is known that aggregate factories operate on various types of fuels that are highly polluting and expensive. It should be noted that the sites where the quarries are located lack electricity, limiting aggregate production. This is the case in Pilpichaca, which has solar radiation of 5.5 kWh/m2/day. The peak solar hours in this area meet the requirement of 3.5 kWh/m2/day. Since it is larger than the previous one, for these reasons this photovoltaic system design meets the requirements to reduce energy costs of the 24 tonne/day Pilpichaca crusher.
