Respeto a la intimidad en los controles de crecimiento y desarrollo: percepción de madres en un hospital de Ferreñafe, 2024

Abstract

La ley general de salud N° 26842 en el artículo 15, refiere que toda persona que recibe atención de salud tiene derecho a ser tratada con respeto hacia su intimidad y dignidad, sin importar edad o condición. Por ello, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo describir y comprender la percepción de madres sobre el respeto a la intimidad en los controles de crecimiento y desarrollo en un hospital de Ferreñafe, 2024. Fue un estudio cualitativo con enfoque descriptivo; la muestra estuvo conformada por 12 madres, número obtenido por saturación y redundancia, se empleó el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia y para la selección de participantes se siguió criterios establecidos. En la obtención de datos se usó la entrevista semiestructurada a profundidad, la cual fue validada por expertos en la temática. Los datos recolectados fueron procesados por análisis de contenido, y se aplicó los principios éticos personalistas y de rigor científico. Se obtuvo 3 categorías: el respeto, elemento fundamental en la atención a la unidad biopsicosocial durante los controles de crecimiento y desarrollo del niño; la experiencia en relación al respeto que se brinda a la intimidad del niño durante el control de crecimiento y desarrollo; ambientes y protocolos de atención individual en el consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo. En conclusión, los participantes destacaron la importancia de respetar la intimidad física, psicológica y social del niño, además de proteger sus datos personales. También instaron al personal de enfermería a mejorar la interacción y comunicación con el niño durante la consulta.

The general health law No. 26842 in article 15 states that every person who receives health care has the right to be treated with respect for their privacy and dignity, regardless of age or condition. Therefore, the objective of this research was to describe and understand mothers' perception of respect for privacy in growth and development controls in a hospital in Ferreñafe, 2024. It was a qualitative study with a descriptive approach; The sample was made up of 12 mothers, a number obtained by saturation and redundancy, non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used and established criteria were followed for the selection of participants. An in-depth semi-structured interview was used to obtain data, which was validated by experts on the subject. The data collected was processed by content analysis, and personalistic ethical principles and scientific rigor were applied. 3 categories were obtained: respect, a fundamental element in the care of the biopsychosocial unit during the child's growth and development controls; the experience in relation to the respect given to the child's privacy during growth and development monitoring; individual care environments and protocols in the growth and development office. In conclusion, the participants highlighted the importance of respecting the physical, psychological and social privacy of the child, in addition to protecting their personal data. They also urged the nursing staff to improve interaction and communication with the child during the consultation.
