Introduction: The stomatognathic system involves various areas of the upper trunk of the human body, which function as a system with precise coordination within the body. The available literature shows us that adopting inappropriate postures or postures inappropriate for the correct functioning of the stomatognathic system influences morphological aspects of intermaxillary relationships, deducing that, if the craniocervical position is modified, alterations in occlusion could be evidenced. Objective: To determine the influence of craniocervical posture and hyoid position on the intermaxillary relationship in young adult patients from Chiclayo during the year 2023. Materials and Methods: Cephalometric radiographs of patients who have attended the Imaging Center of the Specialized Center for Dental Training of the Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo, of both sexes, between 18 and 35 years old, who have less than two absent occlusal pairs and without compromise of occlusal stability, were used. Cephalometric analysis of Solow (craniocervical posture), analysis of the position of the hyoid (position of the tongue) and ANB angle (intermaxillary ratio) measurement were performed. Results: Regarding the craniocervical angle dimension (NSL/CVT) (p=0.090), there is a potential probability of significance (bivariate linear regression analysis); as for the Hyoid Position dimension (H–RGn), it has a significant influence on the intermaxillary relationship (p=0.019) (multivariate linear regression analysis), however, we cannot conclude significantly any influence. The samples were characterized (reference values on craniocervical posture and hyoid position, according to malocclusion and sex). Conclusion: There is no influence of craniocervical posture and hyoid position on the intermaxillary relationship in young adult patients from the city of Chiclayo in 2023.
