In this study, the relationship between participation and quality of life of the elderly attending the José Olaya health center in Chiclayo, 2024, was determined. A quantitative approach was used with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population consisted of 407 older adults, and the sample of 322, selected by simple random probability sampling. The survey technique was used, applying two questionnaires validated by the content validity coefficient test. Reliability was verified with a pilot test, obtaining a Cronbach's alpha of 0.79 and 0.72. The data collected were coded and entered into the EXCEL 2019 database, using descriptive statistics to generate tables and graphs. This information was then exported to the SPSS version 25 program, where inferential statistics were applied to measure the relationship between the variables, using the Spearman correlation coefficient. The results showed that 74.8% of respondents had a low level of participation and 51.6% had a low quality of life. Positive correlations were identified between the dimensions of participation (associative-opinionative 0.462, civic 0.547, participative 0.465) and quality of life. It was concluded that greater participation is associated with a better quality of life in older adults attending the José Olaya health center, evidenced by a rho 0.640. Throughout the process, ethical principles were respected in accordance with the Belmont report.
