This research aims to analyze the influence of the additives Consolid 444 and Solidry on improving the bearing capacity of the subgrade in clay soils. The research was conducted using an experimental approach, carrying out test pits, laboratory tests for particle size distribution, Atterberg limits, moisture content, Proctor density, and CBR, both in its natural state and stabilized with different additive dosages. Initial results showed that the samples taken corresponded to the A-7-6 (17) classification according to AASHTO and CL according to USCS, with a CBR between 2% and 4%, indicating a low-strength (poor) subgrade, unsuitable for use as a subgrade according to regulations. After the application of Consolid C444 and Solidry, an increase in the CBR of up to 29% was observed, with the optimal dosages of 0.032% and 3%, respectively. Similarly, hydraulic tests, such as capillary rise and permeability, showed highly favorable performance, demonstrating a notable decrease in their values. These results confirm the effectiveness of the additives in improving the load-bearing capacity of the soil, also demonstrating that the Consolid-Solidry system constitutes a technically, economically and environmentally viable alternative for stabilizing clay soils in road projects.
