Currently, the areas that have lost their ecological importance are the wetlands. In Lambayeque, as in many parts of the Peruvian coast, we find these ecosystems affected by anthropogenic actions. One of these is pollution, due to their proximity to urban expansion, as the informal growth in the case of Ciudad Eten and the exploitation of ecosystem services are not regulated. Moreover, the population shows little interest and has limited information about the prevailing biodiversity. Thus, the formulated hypothesis is based on selecting integration strategies that could allow for the conservation of wetland ecosystems. The first phase focuses on an environmental approach, which allows us to understand what exists in order to conserve and value it. In the second phase, the contrast with previous urban planning is recognized, with new settlements, created out of the need for habitability, being the areas of greatest interest for study. In the final phase, strategies evaluated from successful cases are related to different scales, with the aim of following steps toward the formation of the urban fabric of the city. Finally, seven strategies are proposed, developed through landscape, urban, and architectural projects, with the goal of aligning with the sustainability principles outlined in the theory of ecosystemic urbanism.
