Time management, understood as the ability to efficiently manage and organize work activities, has a significant influence on work engagement, since it allows employees to establish priorities, maintain control over their tasks and use appropriate planning tools. The objective was to determine the influence of time management on the work involvement of employees of a financial institution in Puerto Maldonado. A non-experimental cross-sectional design with an explanatory level was used, applying a questionnaire to a census sample of 55 employees. Two instruments were used: the time management questionnaire of Garzón et al. (2016) and the work involvement questionnaire of Abu (2016). The results evidenced that there is a statistically significant influence of time management on work engagement. 85.5% of the participants showed an acceptable level of time management, while 61.8% presented a moderate level of work involvement. The dimensions of perception of time control (? = 0.432) and time management tools (? = 0.339) showed the greatest impact on work engagement. It is concluded that adequate time management positively influences work engagement, especially when employees feel control over their time and have the appropriate tools to manage it.
