Resumen
El profesional de enfermería sigue presentando dilemas morales y eventos potencialmente lesivos para su moral en su práctica diaria, lo que a la larga va a ocasionar daño moral. La presente investigación buscó determinar el daño moral que afronta el profesional de enfermería de un hospital público de Chiclayo, 2025. El diseño fue de tipo cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y descriptivo. La población estuvo compuesta por 178 profesionales de enfermería de un hospital público; la muestra estuvo conformada por 134 profesionales de enfermería que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. El muestreo fue no probabilístico por conveniencia. La técnica empleada fue la encuesta; se utilizó el cuestionario MISS-HP-S de escala tipo Likert para valorar la presencia de daño moral, el cual ya contaba con validez de constructo y su confiabilidad interna. Los datos fueron procesados y analizados con el programa Excel, utilizando estadística descriptiva mediante frecuencias absolutas, las cuales se representaron a través de tablas de frecuencia. Se consideraron los principios éticos del informe Belmont. Como principales resultados, se obtuvo que el 46,27 % presentó daño moral. Respecto a los datos sociodemográficos, el 94,78 % de los participantes fue de generó femenino; un 29,10 % tenía más de 20 años de servicio. En las dimensiones evaluadas, un 23,88 % se sintió culpable; el 75,37 % sintió que su fe religiosa se fortaleció y el 11,19 % sintió que Dios los castiga. En conclusión, se determinó que el 46,27 % de los profesionales de enfermería experimento daño moral.
Nursing professionals continue to face moral dilemmas and events that are potentially harmful to their morale in their daily practice, which in the long run will cause moral damage. This research sought to determine the moral damage faced by nursing professionals in a public hospital in Chiclayo, 2025. The design was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive. The population consisted of 178 nursing professionals from a public hospital; the sample consisted of 134 nursing professionals who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience. The technique used was a survey; the MISS-HP-S Likert scale questionnaire was used to assess the presence of moral damage, which already had construct validity and internal reliability. The data were processed and analyzed using Excel, using descriptive statistics based on absolute frequencies, which were represented in frequency tables. The ethical principles of the Belmont Report were taken into account. The main findings showed that 46.27% suffered moral damage. With regard to sociodemographic data, 94.78% of participants were female, and 29.10% had more than 20 years of service. In the dimensions evaluated, 23.88% felt guilty; 75.37% felt that their religious faith was strengthened; and 11.19% felt that God was punishing them. In conclusion, it was determined that 46.27% of nursing professionals experienced moral damage.
