Memoria y tecnología en la iglesia San Francisco de Zaña

Abstract

Nos encontramos frente a la necesidad de actualizar la manera de ver, entender y estudiar nuestro patrimonio cultural construido, puesto que, así como nuestra carrera se actualiza constantemente en los campos del diseño en sus diferentes niveles, es necesario hacerlo así con el campo patrimonial para poder ser capaces de presentar intervenciones coherentes y menos invasivas con nuestros edificios en ruina. Es así como planteamos el reconocimiento de las nuevas tecnologías como herramientas potentes de patrimonialización, capaces de facilitar un nivel de intervención óptimo, preciso, fiable y altamente versátil frente a un mundo en constante digitalización. Dándole una cabida especial a la fotografía, puesto que se ajusta perfectamente a las necesidades por su rigor documental; permitiendo, con el uso de documentos históricos y actuales, darle una mirada a la memoria colectiva para entender de manera más precisa al elemento en ruina y su contexto inherente, considerando además su nivel de fidelidad y su capacidad patrimonializadora; planteándonos el objetivo de comprobar la utilidad de las nuevas tecnologías en un espacio puntual, las ruinas de la iglesia San Francisco de Zaña mediante una secuencia de levantamientos de data fotográfica en campo y procesamiento en gabinete para darnos como resultado un producto fiable y utilizable en todo el proceso de estudio de la ruina, probando que es posible complementar y en ciertos casos, superar, a las técnicas de estudio patrimonial convencionales. Probando que las nuevas tecnologías son capaces de ser ese apoyo tan necesario para el entendimiento de nuestro patrimonio.

We are faced with the need to update the way we see, understand and study our cultural heritage, since, just as our career is constantly updated in the fields of design at different levels, it is necessary to do the same with the heritage field in order to be able to present coherent and less invasive interventions with our dilapidated buildings. This is how we propose the recognition of new technologies as powerful tools of patrimonialization, capable of facilitating an optimal, precise, reliable and highly versatile level of intervention in a world in constant digitalization. Giving a special place to photography, since it fits perfectly to the needs for its documentary rigor; allowing, with the use of historical and current documents, to give a look at the collective memory to understand more accurately the element in ruins and its inherent context, considering also its level of fidelity and its heritage capacity; Our objective is to test the usefulness of new technologies in a specific space, the ruins of the church San Francisco de Zaña, through a sequence of photographic data collection in the field and processing in the office to give us as a result a reliable and usable product in the whole process of study of the ruin, proving that it is possible to complement and in some cases, overcome, the conventional techniques of heritage study. Proving that new technologies are capable of being that necessary support for the understanding of our heritage.
