Introduction: Dental erosion is a multifactorial disease that falls under the diagnosis of non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs). It results from both intrinsic and extrinsic chemical agents. Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of the level of dental wear according to tooth and surface in adults who attended the IPRESS - University Hospital of Piura in 2024. Methodology: 240 patients from the University Hospital of Piura were evaluated using the Tooth Wear Evaluation System (TWES) 2. Clinical evaluations were performed on the patients, and scores were obtained by sextants. The highest value and the highest surface per sextant were chosen. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Conclusions: A 56.3% prevalence of dental erosion was found in the studied population, with the female gender being more affected. The most affected teeth were the posterior ones, and the surfaces with the highest presence of dental erosion were the occlusal/incisal surfaces.
