Reprogramación del paisaje productivo recuperando la hidráulica ancestral en el Complejo Arqueológico Monumental de Apurlec

Abstract

Apurlec es un centro arqueológico ubicado al sur del distrito de Motupe que actualmente se enfrenta a la falta de atención necesaria para impulsar el desarrollo del paisaje productivo y la gestión del agua en sus wachaques. Estas estructuras, conocidas como chacras hundidas, eran una técnica prehispánica utilizada para expandir la frontera agrícola al extraer agua subterránea y crear pequeños oasis con microclimas y microecosistemas que albergaban especies silvestres. Estos entornos propiciaban el asentamiento de comunidades que se dedicaban a la agricultura de maíz, maní, papa, pepino, camote, yuca, chirimoya, papaya, algodón, entre otros, y ganadería. Incluso se construyeron lagunillas donde se criaban peces para consumo humano. En este contexto, surge la propuesta de reprogramar el paisaje productivo de Apurlec a través de la recuperación de la hidráulica ancestral, con el objetivo de promover el desarrollo territorial en este complejo arqueológico monumental. Para lograrlo, se llevaron a cabo tres fases. En primer lugar, se realizó un exhaustivo análisis de la realidad actual, abordando las características del paisaje productivo en Apurlec. A continuación, se identificaron criterios y estrategias para mejorar la dinámica de Apurlec mediante el análisis de casos de estudio, empleando un enfoque de investigación no experimental y de nivel explicativo. Por último, se elaboró un plan maestro que establece una organización contemporánea para el área. La importancia de esta investigación radica en la posibilidad de considerar cada vivienda, ecosistema y sistema hídrico que han perdurado a lo largo de la historia, otorgándoles un mejor uso en beneficio de la población actual de Apurlec.

Apurlec is an archaeological center located south of the Motupe district that currently faces the lack of attention necessary to promote the development of the productive landscape and water management in its wachaques. These structures, known as sunken farms, were a pre Hispanic technique used to expand the agricultural frontier by extracting groundwater and creating small oases with microclimates and microecosystems that housed wild species. These environments favored the settlement of communities that were dedicated to the agriculture of corn, peanuts, potatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, cassava, cherimoya, papaya, cotton, among others, and livestock. Even small ponds were built where fish were raised for human consumption. In this context, the proposal arises to reprogram the productive landscape of Apurlec through the recovery of ancestral hydraulics, with the aim of promoting territorial development in this monumental archaeological complex. To achieve this, three phases were carried out. Firstly, an exhaustive analysis of the current reality was carried out, addressing the characteristics of the productive landscape in Apurlec. Next, criteria and strategies were identified to improve the dynamics of Apurlec through the analysis of case studies, using a non-experimental and explanatory level research approach. Finally, a master plan was drawn up that establishes a contemporary organization for the area. The importance of this research lies in the possibility of considering each home, ecosystem and water system that has endured throughout history, giving them a better use for the benefit of the current population of Apurlec.
