The present research aimed to determine the pre-feasibility of a potassium fertilizer plant using vinasse generated by the ethanol industry in Lambayeque. A quantitative approach methodology was applied, of an applied type and non-experimental design, which included market analysis, technical-technological, and financial evaluation. Firstly, the commercial study revealed a high unmet demand for potassium fertilizers and favorable conditions due to agricultural policies. Likewise, regarding the technological viability objective, a technology based on ion exchange, evaporation, crystallization, and centrifugation was selected, with a recovery efficiency of 97%. Installed capacity, plant layout, human resources were established, and tools such as SLP, PESTEL, and EFE Matrix were applied. Finally, regarding economic and financial viability, the project required an investment of S/.19 729 251.33 and presented a NPV of -S/.19 414 889, and a Benefit/Cost ratio of -0.52. From the environmental perspective, significant impacts were identified in key stages of the process, with mitigation strategies proposed focusing on emission control and waste management. The results confirmed the economic infeasibility of the project.
