Introduction: Primary health care is considered a crucial research opportunity, so the challenge for nurses is to get involved in research that benefits the health of the population and society as a whole. The research aims to determine the attitude towards research in serumist nurses from Lambayeque, 2024. Materials and methods: Quantitative study with a non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 118 serumist nurses and the sampling was intentional non-probabilistic. For data collection, the instrument "Attitudes towards research and development within the Nursing Questionnaire" was used, which has factor analysis by KayserMeyer-Olkin (0.916) and Bartlett's sphericity (gl = 528, p = 0.000), and reliability was determined by Cronbach's Alpha (0.913). The data were processed and analyzed by the statistical package SPSS version 29 using descriptive statistics. Likewise, three principles of personalist bioethics were applied. Results: Of the seven dimensions that make up the attitude towards research, positive attitudes were obtained in four of them with scores greater than 4 and neutral attitudes in three dimensions, with scores of 3, on a scale of 1 to 5. Conclusions: Nurses have a positive attitude in four dimensions, since they recognize that the profession supported by research allows to make visible with scientific rigor the role of nursing in care, and they consider their participation in the development of nursing knowledge important.
