Resumen
Las experiencias de numerosas mujeres que están a la espera de una biopsia para diagnosticar cáncer de mama, cuyo resultado demora entre 15 días a un mes, presentan sentimientos de miedo, temor, nerviosismo, al existir la posibilidad de tener esta enfermedad, que suele asociarse muchas veces a la muerte, por esta razón, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo: Describir y Analizar las experiencias post biopsia de mama en pacientes del consultorio de mastología de un hospital público, Chiclayo 2024. El tipo de investigación fue cualitativa con abordaje descriptivo y la población estuvo conformada por 119 pacientes que acuden al consultorio de mastología del Hospital Docente Las Mercedes de Chiclayo, la muestra la constituyó 12 pacientes, la cual fue establecida por saturación y redundancia, el muestreo fue no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se utilizó la técnica de la entrevista, como instrumento una guía de preguntas semiestructuradas, validada por juicio de expertos y por prueba piloto. Los datos fueron procesados a través de la técnica de análisis temático, las consideraciones éticas personalisticas y los criterios de rigor científico sustentaron la investigación. Entre los principales resultados se hallaron cuatro categorías. I) Temor a que los resultados de la biopsia sean positivos, II) Efectos secundarios post biopsia de mama, III) Rol de enfermería en la biopsia de mama, IV) la espiritualidad de la paciente ante la espera de los resultados. Se concluye que las experiencias de los sujetos de estudio ante la posibilidad de tener un cáncer produce temor ante positividad de resultados de biopsia , conllevando a que los participantes puedan manifestar preocupación en especial por los hijos y sustento económico.

The type of research was qualitative with a descriptive and The population was made up of 119 patients who attended the mastology clinic of the Las Mercedes Teaching Hospital in Chiclayo, the sample consisted of 12 patients, which was established by saturation and redundancy, the sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience. The interview technique was used, as an instrument, a guide of semi-structured questions, validated by expert judgment and by pilot testing. The data were processed through the thematic analysis technique, personal ethical considerations and criteria of scientific rigor supported the research. Four categories were found among the main results. I) Fear that the biopsy results will be positive, II) Side effects after breast biopsy, III) Nursing role in breast biopsy, IV) the patient's spirituality while waiting for the results. It is concluded that the experiences of the study subjects with the possibility of having cancer produce fear of positive biopsy results, leading the participants to express concern especially for their children and financial support.
