Resumen
Introducción: La endometriosis es una enfermedad crónica, dependiente de estrógenos, caracterizada por la implantación de tejido endometrial, impacta significativamente en la salud integral, especialmente en el bienestar mental, con un 68% de los pacientes presentando alteraciones psicológicas. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de calidad de vida en mujeres con diagnóstico de Endometriosis que acuden a consulta de Ginecología en un Hospital de la región Lambayeque, durante el periodo de febrero a abril del 2024. Material y métodos: con un estudio descriptivo, transversal, cuantitativo, básico, retrospectivo, la calidad de vida de sesenta pacientes con endometriosis fue evaluadas con una escala específica EHP-30. Resultado: Se destaca que el nivel medio de afectación es predominante en todas las dimensiones: movilidad (60%), actividad habitual (55%), dolor-disconfort (58%) y ansiedad-depresión (53%). Le sigue el nivel bajo en cada dimensión, con porcentajes que oscilan entre el 18% y el 23%, y el nivel alto, con porcentajes que varían de 18% a 27%. Conclusión: La endometriosis afecta significativamente la calidad de vida de las mujeres, influyendo en su bienestar físico y emocional según características sociodemográficas como edad y estado civil. Las áreas más afectadas incluyen movilidad, actividad habitual, dolor y ansiedad, con un nivel medio de impacto. Esto resalta la necesidad de un manejo integral y personalizado para mejorar la calidad de vida global de las pacientes.
Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent disease, characterized by the implantation of endometrial tissue, it significantly impacts integral health, especially mental well-being, with 68% of patients presenting psychological alterations. Objective: To determine the level of quality of life in women diagnosed with Endometriosis who attend a Gynecology consultation at a Hospital in the Lambayeque region, during the period from February to April 2024. Material and methods: with a descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative, basic, retrospective study, the quality of life of sixty patients with endometriosis was evaluated with a specific scale EHP-30. Results: the medium level of impairment is predominant in all dimensions: mobility (60%), usual activity (55%), pain-comfort (58%) and anxiety-depression (53%). This is followed by the low level in each dimension, with percentages ranging from 18% to 23%, and the high level, with percentages ranging from 18% to 27%. Conclusion: Endometriosis significantly affects the quality of life of women, influencing their physical and emotional well-being according to sociodemographic characteristics such as age and marital status. The most affected areas include mobility, usual activity, pain and anxiety, with a medium level of impact. This highlights the need for comprehensive and personalized management to improve the overall quality of life of patients.
