Resumen
Este artículo tuvo como propósito determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño laboral en una empresa industrial de Chiclayo 2023.
La metodología utilizada en el estudio se fundamentó en la teoría de Goleman para evaluar la variable de inteligencia emocional. Por otro lado, la variable de desempeño laboral se analizó a través de la teoría de Hernández. Para llevar a cabo el estudio, se contó con una muestra de 104 colaboradores.
El principal resultado del estudio indica que existe una relación significativa entre la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño laboral, se ha evidenciado que hay aspectos directivos que no se han desarrollado lo suficiente, lo que ha impactado directamente en el desempeño de los empleados. En cuanto a los objetivos específicos, se encontró que la inteligencia emocional se encuentra en un nivel medio, al igual la variable del desempeño laboral se encuentra en un nivel medio; además, se encontró relación significativa entre las dimensiones de la variable de inteligencia emocional y la variable de desempeño laboral.
The purpose of the article was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance in an industrial company in Chiclayo 2023. The methodology used in the study was based on Goleman's theory to evaluate the emotional intelligence variable. On the other hand, the job performance variable was analyzed through Hernandez theory. To carry out the study, we had a sample of 104 collaborators. The main result of the study indicates that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance, it has been shown that there are managerial aspects that have not been developed enough, which has directly impacted the performance of employees. Regarding the specific objectives, it was found that emotional intelligence is at a medium level, just as the work performance variable is at a medium level; Furthermore, a significant relationship was found between the dimensions of the emotional intelligence variable and the job performance variable.
