Resumen
El propósito de esta investigación fue determinar el estilo de liderazgo predominante según el modelo MLQ-5X en una empresa seleccionadora de personal de la zona Norte del Perú, 2024; la metodología es de tipo aplicada, no experimental, con enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel correlacional y de diseño no experimental y transversal. En el recojo de datos se hace uso de la encuesta a 120 colaboradores con edades de 25 a 65 años como muestra de estudio; en los resultados se determinó que el nivel predominante es el liderazgo pasivo que lo define como nivel alto, con lo cual se concluye que tanto el personal como los directivos de la empresa presentan características que no fomentan ni motivan a los colaboradores a generar ideas innovadoras que sean coherentes con el desarrollo de la institución. Además, se observó que el líder de la empresa demuestra una falta de intervención activa, ya que los líderes adoptan una postura pasiva debido a la carencia de habilidades de liderazgo y a la cultura organizacional existente.
The purpose of this research was to determine the predominant leadership style according to the MLQ-5X model in a personnel selection company in the Northern area of Peru, 2023; The methodology is applied, non-experimental, with a quantitative approach, correlational level and non-experimental and transversal design. In data collection, a survey of 120 employees aged 25 to 65 years was used as a study sample; In the results, it was determined that the predominant level is passive leadership, which defines it as a high level, which determines that both the staff and the company's managers exhibit characteristics that neither encourage nor attract collaborators to generate disruptive ideas that allows it to be consistent with the development of the institution and concluded that the company leader shows a lack of active intervention on the part of the leaders, who adopt a non-intervention stance due to the absence of leadership skills and organizational culture.
