Soledad en el adulto mayor de centros de salud Chiclayo, 2022

Abstract

La vejez es una etapa donde la persona pasa por diferentes cambios que repercuten o tienen un gran impacto en la salud mental de dicho grupo etario, una de las consecuencias es el sentimiento de soledad. Actualmente en nuestra sociedad la población adulta mayor es la que se ve más afectada a este tipo de sentimiento y todas las implicaciones que trae consigo. Por lo cual, la presente investigación busca determinar el nivel de soledad en el adulto mayor. La investigación corresponde a un estudio de diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo, el cual se trabajó con una muestra de 120 adultos mayores de 60 a 91 años de ambos sexos, quienes se evaluó mediante la escala ESTE-R de Rubio y Aleixandre. Se encontró que el 43.3% de la población presenta un nivel de soledad alta; mientras que las mujeres en tres dimensiones (familiar, conyugal y crisis existencial) tienen un nivel de soledad alta, asimismo, los que son viudos, solteros o divorciados se encuentran en el nivel alto en las cuatro dimensiones. Se concluye que el nivel de soledad general y en sus dimensiones se encuentran en la categoría alta.

Old age is a stage where the person goes through different changes that affect or have a great impact on the mental health of said age group, one of the consequences is the feeling of loneliness. Currently in our society, the elderly population is the one that is most affected by this type of feeling and all the implications that it brings with it. Therefore, the present investigation seeks to determine the level of loneliness in the elderly. The research corresponds to a descriptive non-experimental design study, which worked with a sample of 120 adults aged 60 to 91 of both sexes, who were evaluated using the ESTE-R scale by Rubio and Aleixandre. It was found that 43.3% of the population presents a high level of loneliness; while women in three dimensions (family, marital and existential crisis) have a high level of loneliness, likewise, those who are widowed, single or divorced are at a high level in all four dimensions. It is concluded that the level of general loneliness and its dimensions are in the high category
