The critical review entitled: Nurses' attitudes towards the death of patients in the emergency department (ED) aimed to identify nurses' attitudes towards the death of patients in the emergency department. Death as a psychological and physical event affects the dying person and their companions, especially nursing professionals, since they are the ones who care for them during the dying process. This research is justified by the need to deepen the understanding of the meaning of death and the dying process among nurses working in emergency services. This will allow the development of new approaches to care management that facilitate nursing work, since there are still insufficient studies demonstrating that emergency nurses adequately deal with these situations. The EBE methodology was used, developing 3 of the 5 stages that comprise it, starting from the formulation of a clinical question: What is the nurse's attitude towards the death of patients in the emergency department? A search was conducted in various scientific repositories, and 10 studies were selected. Seven made it through the Gálvez Toro list, and one was chosen for critical analysis, entitled "Dying in the Emergency Department: Nurses' Attitudes Before and After the First Critical Period of COVID19." It was found that the predominant attitude among emergency nursing professionals regarding the death of their patients was acceptance.
