Perspectiva espiritual en personas con afecciones cardiovasculares, con enfoque en la Teoría de Autotrascendencia de Reed. Chiclayo-Perú, 2016

Abstract

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) afirma que para el año 2030, casi 23,6 millones de habitantes padecerán por alguna enfermedad relacionada con el aparato cardiovascular. Asimismo, se dice que las personas que viven con alguna afección cardíaca se encuentran permanentemente comprometidos por la disfuncionalidad corporal y también por la notable percepción de la muerte. Nuestro país no es ajeno a esta realidad y cada día notamos el incremento de personas hospitalizadas por dichas causas. Por ello, esta investigación determinó el nivel de perspectiva espiritual en personas con enfermedades cardiovasculares, en el Servicio de Cardiología-Cirugía de Tórax y Cardiovascular del Hospital Nacional «Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo» (HNAAA). Fue un estudio de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal, bajo el enfoque la Teoría de Autotrascendencia de Reed y su Escala de Perspectiva Espiritual (SPS). Considerando en el transcurso de la investigación los principios de Bioética Personalista propuestos por Sgreccia y los de Rigor Científico por Guba. Los resultados se organizaron en 3 apartados. El primero, respecto a las características sociales de los participantes, donde el 55 % del total son de sexo masculino y la edad promedio fue 65 años. El segundo revela que el nivel de perspectiva espiritual es moderado con 60 %, seguido del 28 % para el nivel alto. En tercer lugar, se realizó la validación de la escala SPS en el contexto peruano-lambayecano, estimando la fiabilidad del instrumento. Se concluyó que el nivel de perspectiva espiritual fue moderado, contrastando con otros estudios de investigación preliminares.

The World Health Organization (WHO) affirms that by the year 2030, almost 23.6 million inhabitants will suffer from some disease related to the cardiovascular system. Likewise, it is said that people living with a heart condition are permanently compromised by bodily dysfunction and also by the remarkable perception of death. Our country is no stranger to this reality and every day we notice the increase in people hospitalized for these causes. For this reason, this research determined the level of spiritual perspective in people with cardiovascular diseases, in the Cardiology-Thorax and Cardiovascular Surgery Service of the “Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo” National Hospital (HNAAA). It was a quantitative, descriptive, cross- sectional study based on Reed's Theory of Self-Transcendence and its Spiritual Perspective Scale (SPS). Considering in the course of the research the principles of Personal Bioethics proposed by Sgreccia and those of Scientific Rigor by Guba. The results were organized in 3 sections. The first, regarding the social characteristics of the participants, where 55% of the total are male and the average age was 65 years. The second reveals that the level of spiritual perspective is moderate with 60%, followed by 28% for the high level. Third, the SPS scale was validated in the Peruvian-Lambayecan context, estimating the reliability of the instrument. It was concluded that the level of spiritual perspective was moderate, contrasting with other preliminary research studies.
