Resumen
La ética es de carácter indispensable en el ámbito empresarial, especialmente en su desarrollo dentro de la gestión pública, es por ello por lo que el propósito de esta investigación fue describir la percepción de los servidores públicos municipales sobre el clima ético en una municipalidad distrital. En cuanto a la muestra, estuvo conformada por 171 trabajadores de la municipalidad distrital de estudio, haciéndose uso del modelo teórico propuesto por Cullen y Víctor (1988) para medir la variable de clima ético. Los resultados mostraron una percepción negativa del clima ético, explicándose de manera detallada a través de los tres tipos de clima, entre ellos, el clima de egoísmo reveló que los colaboradores tienen como prioridad el velar por sus propios intereses personales, el clima de benevolencia señala que no se otorga un alto grado de interés por las necesidades de los usuarios, así como también en clima de principios donde se atribuye poca importancia al cumplimiento de normas y códigos éticos.
Ethics is indispensable in the business environment, especially in its development within public management, which is why the purpose of this research was to describe the perception of municipal public servants on the ethical climate in a district municipality. The sample consisted of 171 workers of the district municipality under study, using the theoretical model proposed by Cullen and Victor (1988) to measure the ethical climate variable. The results showed a negative perception of the ethical climate, explained in detail through the three types of climate, among them, the climate of selfishness revealed that the collaborators' priority is to look after their own personal interests, the climate of benevolence indicates that there is not a high degree of interest in the needs of the users, as well as the climate of principles where little importance is attributed to the fulfillment of norms and ethical codes.
