Análisis del thriller surcoreano a través de las películas The Call y Mother

Abstract

La presente investigación planteó como objetivo general analizar el thriller surcoreano a través de las películas The Call y Mother y como objetivos específicos identificar los elementos visuales del lenguaje audiovisual de las películas The Call y Mother, reconocer los elementos sonoros del lenguaje audiovisual de las películas The Call y Mother y determinar la estructura narrativa de las películas The Call y Mother. El tipo de investigación fue cualitativo con un enfoque hermenéutico, asimismo, se usó como instrumentos dos fichas de análisis de contenido, la primera dedicada al lenguaje audiovisual y la segunda, a la estructura narrativa. El estudio concluyó en que los elementos visuales de las cintas son diversos y en la mayoría de aspectos llegan a coincidir, con el fin de crear suspenso y distintas emociones en el público. Del mismo modo, ocurrió con los elementos sonoros, ya que formaron parte importante en la composición de las películas y coinciden con los aspectos de la banda sonora, sonido diegético y extradiegético, característicos del género thriller. Asimismo, la estructura narrativa que emplearon las películas fue no lineal, pues mostró dinamismo y no cronología.

The present investigation raised a general objective to analyze the South Korean thriller through the films The Call and Mother and as specific objectives to identify the visual elements of the audiovisual language of the films The Call and Mother, to identify the sound elements of the audiovisual language of the films The Call and Mother and determine the narrative structure of the films The Call and Mother. The type of research was qualitative with a hermeneutic approach, likewise, two observation sheets were used as instruments, the first dedicated to audiovisual language and the second, to the narrative structure. The study concluded that the visual elements of the films are diverse and in most aspects coincide, to create suspense and different emotions in the public. In the same way, it happened with the sound elements, since they formed an important part in the composition of the films and coincided with the aspects of the soundtrack, diegetic and extradiegetic sound, characteristic of the thriller genre. Likewise, the narrative structure used by the films was non-linear, since it showed dynamism and not chronology.
