Objective: to determine the satisfaction of oncology patients with chemotherapy at the Lambayeque Regional Hospital during the year 2022. Materials and methods: a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional investigation was carried out with a sample of 184 patients who received ambulatory chemotherapy in the Lambayeque Regional Hospital. The Cancer Therapy Satisfaction Questionnaire (CTSQ) – Spanish Peru Version and a sociodemographic and clinical data collection form were used. Results: Of the 128 patients surveyed, 83.2% (153) were women with a mean age of 53.38 ± 12.99 years. Of the total, 30.4% had completed secondary school and 28.8% were cohabitants. 25% had their chemotherapy interrupted at some point. 95.1% of patients were satisfied with the treatment they received. No correlation was found between the type of neoplasia and the degree of satisfaction in the patients evaluated (p = 0.234). Conclusions: the level of satisfaction and expectations of chemotherapy in women with breast and cervical cancer was high, which demonstrates a positive result; however, feelings about the side effects of therapy were negative. Studies of oncology patients are of vital relevance to improve satisfaction and adherence to treatment, as well as to seek improvement in care management and care processes.
