Resumen
Los avances de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en los últimos años han provocado cambios en el conocimiento y la ciencia. Como consecuencia, el papel del profesor ha evolucionado para adaptarse a estos cambios. Los profesores necesitan ahora adquirir competencias digitales avanzadas y aplicarlas adecuadamente en sus entornos de trabajo. Para ello, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo con metodología descriptiva sobre el desarrollo de competencias digitales en docentes de educación superior tecnológica con el objetivo de evaluar el estado de estas competencias en los docentes en 2021. El cuestionario de Competencias Digitales para Profesores se administró a 62 educadores para medir su nivel de comprensión y aplicación de estas competencias. El alfa de Cronbach, que indica un nivel aceptable de fiabilidad, fue igual a 0,9 tras someter este instrumento al juicio de expertos. En el programa estadístico SPSS versión 25 se completó el análisis de datos, gráficos y tablas estadísticas. Se desarrolla un programa de formación en competencias digitales para profesores en respuesta a los resultados, que indicaron que el nivel de crecimiento de las competencias de los profesores es pobre. También, se tuvieron en cuenta las normas de rigor ético sugeridas por la Declaración de Helsinki.
Advances in information and communication technologies in recent years have caused changes in knowledge and science. As a consequence, the role of the teacher has evolved to adapt to these changes. Teachers now need to acquire advanced digital skills and apply them appropriately in their work environments. To this end, a quantitative study was carried out with descriptive methodology on the development of digital competencies in technological higher education teachers with the objective of evaluating the state of these competencies in teachers in 2021. The Digital Competencies Questionnaire for Teachers was administered to 62 educators measure their level of understanding and application of these competencies. Cronbach´s alpha, which indicates an acceptable level of reliability, was equal to 0,9 after subjecting this instrument to expert judgment. Data analysis, graphs and statistical tables were completed in the statistical program SPSS version 25. A digital skills training program for teachers is developed in response to the results, which indicated that the level of growth of teachers’ skills is poor. Also, the standards of ethical rigor suggested by the Declaration of Helsinki were taken into account.
