Conocimiento materno sobre estimulación temprana en menores de 5 años en un centro de salud de Chiclayo, 2025

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento materno de estimulación temprana en menores de 5 años en un centro de salud de Chiclayo, 2025. El tipo de investigación fue cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, nivel descriptivo y corte transversal. La muestra se conformó por 332 madres de niños menores de 5 años que asistieron al área de crecimiento y desarrollo en el centro de salud José Leonardo Ortiz. Se diseñó un cuestionario el cual fue validado por juicio expertos y el nivel de confiabilidad, donde se alcanzó un coeficiente de KR-20 de 0.82; el instrumento fue diseñado considerando dos dimensiones: conocimiento básico sobre estimulación temprana y áreas de estimulación, adicionalmente, cuenta con ítems que recolectaron características sociodemográficas de las madres. Los datos recolectados fueron procesados a través del software de Microsoft Excel, en donde se realizó la limpieza de datos para su posterior análisis descriptivo. En los hallazgos se obtuvo que, el 46.39% de madres encuestadas alcanzó un nivel medio de conocimiento básico sobre estimulación temprana y el 29.52% un nivel de conocimiento bajo. Respecto a las áreas de estimulación, un 53.01% alcanzó un nivel de conocimiento medio y un 30.42% un nivel bajo. Se concluyó que, el 46.39% de madres tiene un nivel de conocimiento medio sobre estimulación temprana, el 46.08% tiene un nivel bajo y solo el 7.53% un nivel de conocimiento alto.The objective of this study was to determine the level of maternal knowledge of early stimulation in children under 5 years of age in a health center in Chiclayo, 2025. The type of research was quantitative, non-experimental in design, descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample was made up of 332 mothers of children under 5 years of age who attended the growth and development area at the José Leonardo Ortiz health center. Was which was validated by expert judgment and the level of reliability, where a KR-20 coefficient of 0.82 was reached; The instrument was designed considering two dimensions: basic knowledge about early stimulation and stimulation areas; additionally, it has items that collected sociodemographic characteristics of the mothers. The collected data were processed through Microsoft Excel software, where data cleaning was carried out for subsequent descriptive analysis. The findings showed that 46.39% of mothers surveyed reached a medium level of basic knowledge about early stimulation and 29.52% a low level of knowledge. Regarding the stimulation areas, 53.01% reached a medium level of knowledge and 30.42% a low level. It was concluded that 46.39% of mothers have a medium level of knowledge about early stimulation, 46.08% have a low level and only 7.53% have a high level of knowledge.
