The general objective of this study is to determine the relationship between resilience and alcohol consumption in students of the Faculty of Medicine of a private university in the city of Chiclayo, 2023, under a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach. The population was made up of 315 students from said faculty, including the School of Psychology, Dentistry, Nursing and Medicine, using a simple random probabilistic sample. The adaptation of Castilla et al. was applied. (2014) of the Wagnild and Young resilience scale and the Peruvian adaptation of Colán & Rosario (2022) AUDIT of the World Health Organization (2001). As results, no significant evaluation was found between resilience and alcohol consumption, it was obtained that the highest percentage presented a high level of resilience and low-risk alcohol consumption; Finally, no significant correlations were found between the dimensions of resilience and alcohol consumption. It is recommended to explore the external factors that influence consumption, develop psychological programs to strengthen resilience in university students, continue with the line of research considering that the present study is contrary to theory, and explore the possible existence of mediating factors.
