The architectural heritage is exposed to constant pathologies and deterioration due to natural, abiotic and anthropic factors, which causes its partial or total loss. Recognizing a cultural property in its original state requires an exhaustive analysis of the monument and its context to collect historical information that allows the formulation of a hypothetical proposal for the complex. This research focuses on the church and convent La Merced, one of the four viceregal temples in the city of Zaña, which is part of the memory and identity of the place both nationally and internationally. A virtual reconstruction is proposed in three phases: analysis of the physical-territorial context, application of treaties and historical methods of design and the development of a three-dimensional model. To this end, applied research was proposed, with a mixed approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative aspects to analyze and process the architectural piece. Techniques such as data analysis and observation were used. In relation to the instruments used, data review sheets, photogrammetry, mappings and planimetry were proposed. The proposal for the virtual reconstruction of architectural heritage using innovative and technological contemporary practices offers a significant contribution to its future management, protection, conservation and dissemination.
