Resumen
En una Institución Educativa del distrito de Olmos, se encontró que el 60 % de los estudiantes de primero de secundaria presenta dificultades con la competencia de comprensión lectora. Frente a esta problemática, este estudio se propuso diseñar e implementar una propuesta basada en estrategias de Brain Gym que potenciara la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes de primer año de secundaria. En este caso, se utilizó una metodología de tipo cuantitativa, de diseño descriptivo–propositivo. Se diagnosticó y evaluó el nivel de comprensión lectora de 40 alumnos resaltando sus dificultades a través de un cuestionario de evaluación. A partir de ello, se estructuró una propuesta que busca mejorar el nivel de comprensión lectora y, por consiguiente, el análisis crítico de los estudiantes. En este sentido, se consideró que el uso y la aplicación de esta metodología constituirían un apoyo significativo para el desarrollo de habilidades lectoras, convirtiéndose en una alternativa factible en el ámbito educativo.
At an educational institution in the Olmos district, it was found that 60 % of first-year secondary school students struggle with reading comprehension. Faced with this problem, this study aimed to design and implement a proposal based on Brain Gym strategies to enhance reading comprehension in first-year secondary school students. In this case, a quantitative methodology with a descriptive-propositional design was used. The reading comprehension level of 40 students was diagnosed and evaluated, highlighting their difficulties through a diagnostic questionnaire. From this, a proposal was structured to improve the level of reading comprehension and, consequently, the students' critical analysis. In this case, it was proposed that the use and application of this methodology would significantly support the development of reading skills, becoming a feasible option in the educational field.
