Resumen
La resiliencia cumple un papel importante en la adolescencia, debido a que en esta etapa atraviesa por cambios físicos y emocionales, además de las presiones que recibe del entorno por el logro de sus metas, en medio de las situaciones adversas que puede atravesar. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar los niveles de resiliencia en los estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa pública de Chiclayo, así como, identificar los niveles de resiliencia según dimensiones, sexo y edad. La población estuvo conformada por 150 estudiantes de secundaria, siendo 62 de sexo masculino y 88 de sexo femenino con edades, de 14 a 17 años. Esta investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental y de tipo descriptivo. Se utilizó la escala de resiliencia de Wagnild y Young, adaptada en Perú por Castilla et al. (2014).
Los resultados arrojaron que los niveles alto, medio y bajo, se encontraron en un 35.3%, 30% y 34.7% respectivamente y la dimensión que predominó es la de confianza y sentirse bien solo con un 38.7%, además, el sexo masculino y las edades de 14 y 15 años fueron los que obtuvieron el nivel alto.
Resilience plays an important role in adolescence, because at this stage you go through physical and emotional changes, in addition to the pressures you receive from the environment to achieve your goals, in the midst of the adverse situations you may go through. This study aimed to determine the levels of resilience in high school students of a Public Educational Institution in Chiclayo, as well as to identify the levels of resilience according to dimensions, sex and age. The population was made up of 150 high school students, 62 being male and 88 female, aged 14 to 17 years old.
