Factores académicos y sociales asociados al riesgo de adicción a redes sociales en estudiantes de medicina humana de Lambayeque, 2023

Abstract

Introducción: Las redes sociales y su aporte a la comunicación han permitido una mejor interacción social. A pesar de los innegables beneficios que simboliza hoy en día las redes sociales estos involucran un riesgo de tipo clínico que son las adicciones. Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados al riesgo de adicción a las redes sociales en estudiantes de medicina humana de Lambayeque, 2023 Materiales y métodos: La muestra fue 217 estudiantes (IC 99%), sin embargo, solo 206 estudiantes cumplieron con los criterios de selección, se aplicó un muestreo probabilístico, aleatorio simple estratificado, el diseño de estudio fue transversal analítico y para el análisis estadístico se utilizó la regresión logística multivariada para corregir el efecto de variables intervinientes Resultados: Se encontró asociación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables retraso de tareas, hablar con personas desconocidas y año de estudios (p <0.05).Introduction: Social networks and their contribution to communication have allowed better social interaction. Despite the undeniable benefits that social networks symbolize today, they involve a clinical risk that is addictions. Objective: Determine the factors associated with the risk of addiction to social networks in human medicine students from Lambayeque, 2023 Materials and methods: The sample was 217 students (99% CI), however, only 206 students met the selection criterias, stratified simple random probabilistic sampling was applied, the study design was analytical cross-sectional and for statistical analysis multivariate logistic regression was used to correct the effect of intervening variables. Results: A statistically significant association was found between the variables task delay, talking to unknown people and year of studies (p <0.05).
