Sexism is a phenomenon that is present in society, which maintains a belief system of male supremacy and considers women at the level of things. From this context, it influences the fulfillment of certain stereotypes, especially how men and women should behave in order to "fit into society." Given the above, this research aimed to identify if there are differences in the dimensions of sexism according to sex and age group in students from a particular university in Chiclayo. For this purpose, a quantitative approach with a non-experimental and comparative design was used; The population was 3898, and for the sample, 260 students participated, of which 65.8% were men with an age range of 18 to 29 years (M=20.2, SD=2.21). Those who responded to the Ambivalent Sexism Instrument (ISA) by Glick and Fiske (1996) adapted to the national context by Flores (2019). It was found that, in men, there is a greater presence of sexism compared to women and there are no significant differences in sexism in relation to age. Therefore, it is concluded that, unlike women, men tend to engage in greater behaviors of hostile and benevolent sexism and that there are no significant differences in hostile and benevolent sexism according to the age group in engineering faculty students.
