Results:Public stigma is a frequent and widespread problem in the population of Chota, being mainly of medium and high level, both reaching 95% frequency. Discussion: The high level of stigmatization towards mental disorders must be eradicated, since it has a negative impact on the search for treatment and the recovery of those who suffer from it.
