The present investigation will be demonstrated to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about STIs/HIV - AIDS and risky sexual behavior in Psychology students of a University, Chiclayo 2022; In addition to indicating the sociodemographic characteristics, identifying the level of knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS, identifying risky sexual behavior, and correlating the level of knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS and the dimensions of risky sexual behavior. The research was of a non-experimental and cross-sectional design, the population consisted of 277 psychology university students between the ages of 18 and 25 years of the 4th, 6th and 8th cycle of the aforementioned university, from them through simple occasional sampling it was obtained and a total of 161 students randomly selected through two questionnaires were found: Level of knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS (Perca, 2021) and Sexual Risk Behavior Scale (Perca, 2021). Results: Psychology students were characterized as being 18 years old (32.9%), female (80.7%), 4th cycle (40.4%), with a medium level of knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS. (73.9%) and favorable risky sexual behavior (75.2%), a very strong and highly significant positive relationship (p<0.001) was evidenced between knowledge and both cognitive attitude dimensions (r=0.826), affective (r=0.841) and behavioral (r=0.840), in addition to the fact that there is a very strong and highly significant positive relationship (p<0.001) between knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS and risky sexual behavior (r=0.907). That is why it is concluded that there is statistically significant evidence to confirm that, the higher the level of knowledge about STIs/HIV-AIDS, the lower the frequency of risky sexual behaviors will be along with the cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions, on the other hand, most students have medium knowledge and moderately favorable risk behavior.
