Propuesta de una ruta turística dirigida a los millennials para el desarrollo sostenible del distrito de Puerto Eten

Abstract

El Distrito de Puerto Eten está ubicado en la provincia de Chiclayo, en el Departamento de Lambayeque, en el norte de Perú. Este distrito cuenta con una amplia gama de recursos turísticos, entre ellos se encuentra la playa El Ensueño, la Antigua Estación Ferroviaria, el Muelle, el morro de Eten o también conocido como el cerro Las Campanas, entre otros. Bajo este contexto, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo proponer el diseño de una ruta turística dirigida a los millennials para el desarrollo sostenible del distrito de Puerto Eten, para ello se plateó analizar la situación turística actual enmarcada dentro del desarrollo sostenible en el distrito de Puerto Eten, identificar el perfil del turista millennial de la región Lambayeque que visita el distrito de Puerto Eten y por último el diseño de una ruta turística para Puerto Eten. Es una investigación aplicada, con un nivel descriptivo y un diseño de triangulación concurrente. Asimismo, tiene un enfoque mixto ya que se utiliza técnicas y población cualitativas como la entrevista a profundidad semiestructurada a conocedores de la actividad turística en el distrito, con la finalidad de cumplir el primer objetivo específico; además se utilizó técnicas y población cuantitativas como el cuestionario a 418 millennials que hayan visitado el distrito de Puerto Eten, con el fin de cumplir el segundo objetivo específico. Después de haber realizado el análisis de los resultados se puede concluir que existen obstáculos para el desarrollo de la actividad turística y por ello no se realiza una buena difusión de los recursos turísticos que posee.

The District of Puerto Eten is located in the province of Chiclayo, in the Department of Lambayeque, in the north of Peru. This district has a wide range of tourist resources, among them, are the beach El Ensueño, the Old Railway Station, the Pier, the Morro de Eten also known as the hill Las Campanas, among others. In this context, the objective of this research is to propose the design of a tourist route for sustainable development in the district of Puerto Eten. In order to do this, it was proposed to analyze the current tourist situation within the framework of sustainable development in the district of Puerto Eten, to identify the profile of the millennial tourist from Lambayeque who visits Puerto Eten, and finally to design a tourist route for the district. It is applied research, with a descriptive level and a grounded theory design. It also has a mixed approach since qualitative techniques and population are used, such as the semi-structured in-depth interview with experts in tourism in the district, in order to meet the first specific objective; and quantitative techniques and population, such as the questionnaire to 418 millennials who have visited the district of Puerto Eten, in order to achieve the second specific objective. After having carried out the analysis of the results, it can be concluded that there are barriers to the development of tourism activity and that is why there is not good dissemination of the tourism resources it possesses.
