In a context of economic instability and growing demand for self-employment alternatives, it is essential to develop financial skills that enable informed decision-making regarding money management, saving, investment, and the efficient use of resources in entrepreneurial ventures. Within this framework, this research sought to determine the relationship between financial literacy and entrepreneurship among university students in the city of Chiclayo during 2024, as well as to identify their level of financial literacy, analyze their entrepreneurial capacity, and examine the relationship between the dimensions of both variables, considering the current employment situation of university students. The study was conducted using a quantitative, applied, non-experimental, and explanatory approach. The population consisted of university students, and a non-probabilistic convenience sample was used. The results showed a moderate positive correlation between financial education and entrepreneurship (r = 0.555), allowing the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. A moderate level of perception was also identified for both variables. It is concluded that financial education is a relevant factor for strengthening university entrepreneurship, demonstrating students' potential to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes oriented toward entrepreneurial activity, with implications for economic and social development.
