The purpose of this study was to describe, analyze, and understand the experiences of adults in Chongoyape, 2025, in managing chronic low back pain. A descriptive qualitative ethodology was applied to a population of 40 adults diagnosed with chronic low back pain. The sample reached a point of sufficiency with 15 adults, determined based on saturation and redundancy criteria. The sampling used was non-probabilistic for convenience. A semistructured interview guide was used to obtain information, and the ethical principles of Sgreccia's personalist bioethics and the criteria of scientific rigor were considered. The data were then analyzed using thematic analysis, which generated five categories, identified as: I) Use of pharmacological treatment in the management of chronic low back pain, II) Application of non-pharmacological treatment to reduce chronic low back pain, III) Traditional practices in the management of chronic low back pain, IV) Consequences of living with chronic low back pain, V) Emotions linked to living with chronic low back pain. It is concluded that chronic low back pain in adults in Chongoyape is an experience that transcends the physical, also affecting their emotional and social lives. People resort to medication, non-pharmacological practices, traditional knowledge, and family support, demonstrating the need to promote a comprehensive and humanized approach.
