Due to the unfavorable circumstances that impacted society, such as the spread of COVID-19, heavy rains and the existence of a weather phenomenon, the progress of early childhood education was affected, specifically in the acquisition of social skills in children. since digital media were not the most convenient to promote them. That is why, through this basic purposeful research, the objective was to design a role-playing workshop to enhance social skills in five-year-old children in an educational institution. In this sense, an observation guide consisting of 20 items divided into three dimensions (relationship skills, self-affirmation and conversation) was applied to 100 5-year-old children of both sexes enrolled in three classrooms of two educational institutions in Chiclayo, this population It was intentionally selected under the non-probabilistic method. The results were that 51% are in the beginning scale, 45% in process and only 4% in expected achievement, which shows that children still lack social skills to relate positively. In conclusion, based on the diagnosis made, the design of the proposed role-playing workshop is proposed, which through motivating or conflict situations will contribute to the solution of the identified problem.
