The massive displacement of immigrants to Peru has had several consequences, one of which is access to housing. In view of the little attention received, this population is submerged in serious conditions of vulnerability such as overcrowding, segregation, urban informality and insecurity. Because of this, the present research aims to propose project strategies for the design of transitional housing to reduce the housing deficit produced by the migratory growth in the Villa San Vicente of Puerto Eten; To this end, this applied study, with a mixed approach and descriptive and propositional level, was strategically carried out in 3 phases, where the causes and consequences of the migratory growth in the Villa were recognized through an interview with the population, the current state of the migrant habitat was identified through observation and survey techniques, and finally, projects with characteristics analogous to the needs of the migrant residents in the Villa were studied through the analysis of references. The results obtained point to a series of patterns that are repeated in the various housing centers and are also present in the Villa; the central space as the organizing axis, common areas and modular spaces, as well as a light construction system with accessible and inexpensive materials.
