The spiritual development of the human being is fundamental to reach his ultimate goal. This dimension establishes a personal relationship with God, since the human heart is always in search of its creator. Therefore, the present research work had the objective of demonstrating the effectiveness of the Carmelite spiritual days program to improve the personal relationship with God in a parish youth community in the city of Jayanca in the year 2024. The research has a pre-experimental design, since there was no random assignment of participants. The population consisted of 26 young people from the community “Jóvenes al encuentro de Cristo” of the parish of El Salvador in the city of Jayanca. Therefore, before and after the execution of the program, a spiritual development test was applied, an instrument of the author of Juan Marcelo Zanga Céspedes in his Thesis to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Theology. As a result, those who had knowledge to improve their personal relationship with God, the pretest showed 11.54%, and the post-test showed 73.08%. In the same way, those who did not know how to improve their personal relationship with God, the pre-test showed 23.08%, changing to 0% in the post-test, which means that the application of the Program had an influence. The Program implemented was entitled: “Get up and eat, the road is long” and was based on the Carmelite charism; it had seven learning sessions considering the Kerygma, the Carmelite charism and the Christian vocation as the thematic content.
