The present study corresponds to a critical review entitled Effectiveness of Coping Strategies Against Stress During Emergency Care by Nursing Staff of a MINSA Hospital, whose objective was to determine the effectiveness of coping strategies used by nursing staff during care in the emergency service. Evidence-based nursing (EBE) was used as a methodological basis, guided by the question: What is the effectiveness of coping strategies in relation to the level of stress experienced by nursing staff during emergency care in a hospital? To answer it, a structured search was carried out in scientific databases such as PubMed, SciELO, Google Scholar, the Virtual Health Library and Evidentia. As part of the process, eight relevant investigations were selected, to which a synthesis of evidence was applied, guided by the Apparent Validity tool and Gálvez's utility. Additionally, the STROBE checklist was used to ensure a more rigorous critical analysis of the included studies. The analysis allowed us to identify various coping strategies, both active and passive, highlighting the importance of institutional support, continuous training and emotional self-care as key factors to reduce the impact of stress in emergency situations. It is concluded that the study does answer the research question, since it allowed us to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies applied by nursing staff, based on reliable evidence and appropriate methodological tools.
