Resumen
La familia es el grupo humano que desempeña un papel importante en la concesión y preservación de las tradiciones y valores de una sociedad. Expone que las escuelas contemporáneas reconocen la necesidad de fortalecer las habilidades en dos dimensiones fundamentales: la educación y estimulación tanto del aspecto cognitivo como del emocional. Por ende, el presente informe se realizó con la finalidad de poder determinar la relación entre funcionalidad familiar e inteligencia emocional en adolescentes de una institución educativa privada, Chiclayo 2024. De esta manera poder identificar los niveles de funcionalidad familiar como también en inteligencia emocional por separado en adolescentes de una institución educativa privada. En este informe, se adoptó un enfoque no experimental, empleando el método cuantitativo con alcance descriptivo – correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra fue censal, siendo un total de 113 estudiantes, del sexo femenino y masculino, de 2do y 5to de secundaria. Se utilizó el instrumento de Escala de evaluación (FACES III), se usó también el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional Bar-on-Ice (2001). Adaptado por Ugarriza (2003). Como resultado se evidencio que existe una relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre la funcionalidad familiar y la inteligencia emocional en los adolescentes evaluados (r = .324; p < .001).
The family is the human group that plays an important role in granting and preserving the traditions and values of a society. It states that contemporary schools recognize the need to strengthen skills in two fundamental dimensions: education and stimulation of both cognitive and emotional aspects. Therefore, this report was prepared with the aim of determining the relationship between family functionality and emotional intelligence in adolescents at a private educational institution, Chiclayo 2024. This would enable the identification of levels of family functionality and emotional intelligence separately in adolescents at a private educational institution. This report adopted a non-experimental approach, using a quantitative method with a descriptive-correlational cross-sectional design. The sample was census-based, with a total of 113 students, both female and male, in the 2nd and 5th grades of secondary school. The assessment scale instrument (FACES III) was used, as was the Bar-on-Ice Emotional Intelligence Inventory (2001), adapted by Ugarriza (2003). The results showed that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between family functioning and emotional intelligence in the adolescents evaluated (r = .324; p < .001).
