Currently, cybervictimization has been on the rise, and in addition to this, there are few validated instruments for its use in the Peruvian context. Therefore, the present research aims to determine the validity and reliability of the Cybervictimization Scale (CYBVICS) in adolescents from a public institution in Chiclayo, in addition to identifying evidence of contentbased validity through expert judgment, identifying evidence of validity based on the internal structure of the test through factor analysis and identifying evidence of reliability through the internal consistency method. In this sense, it is an instrumental study, whose population consisted of 302 students of both sexes from 12 to 18 years of age (M=14; SD=1.5), from first to fifth grade, from a public institution in Chiclayo. Thus, adequate content-based validity values were obtained. On the other hand, high indicators of skewness and kurtosis were found. In addition, in the CFA it presented adequate indices (X2/gl = 1.84, p = <.001; CFI = .93; TLI = .92; RMSEA = .053; SRMR = .091), identifying a covariance between item 6 and item 17. On the other hand, it evidenced an optimal reliability for the direct cybervictimization dimension (ω = .84) and for the indirect one (ω = .85). It is concluded that the CYBVICS scale has adequate eviden.
