Percepción sobre incivilidad en estudiantes de enfermería del I y II ciclo en una universidad privada de Chiclayo, 2023

Abstract

La incivilidad se define como los comportamientos o modales inadecuados que incluye una amplia gama de acciones negativas, como palabras soeces, insultos, comentarios ofensivos, gritos, groserías e invasión de la intimidad; pudiendo resultar de la interacción entre diferentes estilos de socialización y culturas. Por tal motivo, el objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación fue describir y analizar la percepción sobre la incivilidad en estudiantes de enfermería del II ciclo en una universidad privada de Chiclayo, 2023. El tipo de investigación planteado fue cualitativa, con un abordaje descriptivo. La muestra se saturó con 14 estudiantes de Enfermería del I y II ciclo. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de una entrevista semiestructurada y fueron procesados mediante análisis de contenido temático. Asimismo, en todo el proceso de la investigación se cumplieron con los criterios de rigor ético y científico. Resultados: se obtuvieron dos categorías, la primera: Percibiendo comportamientos incívicos de estudiantes y docentes, la segunda: Descubriendo comportamientos cívicos y su repercusión positiva en docentes y estudiantes. Conclusión: La incivilidad en el entorno académico impacta negativamente tanto en el bienestar personal como en el aprendizaje efectivo. Promover una cultura de respeto mutuo y responsabilidad personal entre estudiantes y docentes es fundamental para mitigar estos efectos.

Incivility is defined as inappropriate behaviors or manners that include a wide range of negative actions, such as foul language, insults, offensive comments, shouting, rudeness and invasion of privacy; and may result from the interaction between different socialization styles and cultures. For this reason, the objective of this research was to describe and analyze the perception of incivility in nursing students of the second cycle in a private university in Chiclayo, 2023. The type of research proposed was qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The sample was saturated with 15 nursing students of the I and II cycle. The data was collected through a semi structured interview and processed through thematic content analysis. Likewise, the criteria of ethical and scientific rigor were complied with throughout the research process. Results: two categories were obtained, the first: Perceiving uncivic behaviors of students and teachers, the second: Discovering civic behaviors and their positive impact on teachers and students. Conclusion: Incivility in the academic environment negatively impacts both personal well being and effective learning. Promoting a culture of mutual respect and personal responsibility among students and teachers is critical to mitigating these effects.
