Resumen
Considerando el contexto digitalizado en que se desarrollan las personas hoy en día se considera la vulnerabilidad a situaciones de riesgo que pueden afectarles y causar daño, entre estos se considera el daño que las personas, de manera volitiva, realizan al alimentar conductas nocivas que generen dependencia, sea a sustancias como a conductas. Es así como se presenta esta investigación, cuyo objetivo fue determinar los niveles de adicción a las redes sociales en los estudiantes universitarios de Lambayeque, así como también identificar niveles de adicción a las redes sociales por dimensión según sexo además de identificar niveles de adicción a las redes sociales por dimensión según rango de edad, el diseño usado fue no experimental de tipo descriptiva, con una muestra no probabilística de 186 estudiantes de la carrera de Ciencias de la Comunicación en la que se usó el muestreo por conveniencia. A los participantes se les aplicó el Cuestionario de Adicción a Redes Sociales (ARS), con el cual se
encontró que un mayor porcentaje de participantes obtuvieron resultados pertenecientes al nivel medio de la escala; además que tanto en participantes del sexo femenino como masculino existe una frecuencia persistente del nivel medio en todas las dimensiones; finalmente entre los grupos de rangos de edades se suele repetir la mayoría de participantes en el nivel medio a excepción de aquellos mayores a 25 años, cuya mayor presencia se encontró en el nivel alto en la dimensión de Obsesión por las redes sociales.
Considering the digitalized context in which people develop today, vulnerability to risk situations that can affect them and cause harm is considered, among these is considered the harm that people, voluntarily, cause by feeding harmful behaviors that generate dependence, whether to substances or behaviors. This is how this research is presented, whose objective was to determine the levels of addiction to social networks in university students of Lambayeque, as well as to identify levels of addiction to social networks by dimension according to sex in addition to identifying levels of addiction to social networks by dimension according to age range, the design used was non-experimental and descriptive, with a non-probabilistic sample of 186 students of the Communication Sciences degree in which convenience sampling was used. The participants were administered the Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (ARS), with which it was found that a higher percentage of participants obtained results belonging to the middle level of the scale; Furthermore, both in female and male participants there is a persistent frequency of the medium level in all dimensions; finally, among the age range groups, the majority of participants tend to be repeated at the medium level, except for those over 25 years of age, whose greatest presence was found at the high level in the dimension of Obsession with social networks.
