Resumen
En la adolescencia surgen una serie de cambios, que generan mayor vulnerabilidad ante diversos sucesos; trayendo consigo manifestaciones de ansiedad y a su vez una incorrecta gestión de sus emociones, lo cual podría incidir en su correcto desarrollo de habilidades sociales. El objetivo general, fue determinar los niveles de ansiedad y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de 4° y 5° de secundaria. Los objetivos específicos; se centraron en identificar los niveles de ansiedad y habilidades según sexo y grado. A su vez, describir las características sociodemográficas. La muestra, comprendió 202 estudiantes (M =100; F=102)
con edades entre 15 y 18 (ME= 16.22; DE= .71) Este estudio es de diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo simple. Los instrumentos aplicados, fueron el inventario de ansiedad de Beck y escala de habilidades sociales de Gismero. Los resultados muestran que el nivel predominante en ansiedad, fue el leve (41.6%) mientras que el nivel mayoritario en habilidades sociales, fue el alto (82.2%). En relación a la ansiedad según sexo, predominó para ambos, el nivel leve. En las habilidades sociales de ambos sexos, predominó el nivel alto. Conforme a la ansiedad según grado, destacó el nivel leve en cuarto y quinto de
secundaria. Con respecto a las habilidades sociales, destacó el nivel alto en ambos grados.
Se concluye que los participantes presentan en su mayoría, ansiedad leve; en contraste a sus habilidades sociales; que evidencian un nivel alto.
