Resumen
El bienestar psicológico constituye un indicador relevante del desarrollo saludable durante la adolescencia. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la diferencia del bienestar psicológico en estudiantes de dos instituciones educativas. Asimismo, en calidad de objetivos específicos, se identificaron las diferencias según sexo y grado de las dimensiones del bienestar. El diseño es no experimental de tipo comparativo, en una población de 238 estudiantes de 3°, 4° y 5° grado de secundaria, de ambos sexos. En una institución se realizó un estudio censal y en la otra se empleó un muestreo no probabilístico intencional. Para la recolección de datosse utilizó la Escala abreviada de Bienestar Psicológico (SPWBA) de Carol Ryff, adaptada al contexto peruano. Para el análisis estadístico, se aplicaron las pruebas no paramétricas U de Mann-Whitney y Kruskal-Wallis. Se identificaron diferencias significativas entre ambas instituciones educativas, registrándose mayores puntajes en la institución nacional. Asimismo, se identificaron diferencias significativas según sexo en las dimensiones de autoaceptación y relaciones positivas. En cuanto al grado académico, no se hallaron diferencias significativas.
Psychological well-being is a relevant indicator of healthy development during adolescence. The aim of this study was to determine the difference in psychological well-being among students from two educational institutions. Additionally, the specific objectives were to identify differences according to sex and grade level in the dimensions of well-being. The research followed a non-experimental comparative design and included a population of 238 students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades of secondary school, of both sexes. In one institution, a census study was conducted, whereas in the other a non-probabilistic purposive sampling method was applied. Data were collected using the abbreviated version of Carol Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (SPWBA), adapted to the Peruvian context. For statistical analysis, the non-parametric Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis tests were used. Significant differences were found between the two institutions, with higher scores observed in the public institution. Significant differences according to sex were also identified in the dimensions of self-acceptance and positive relations. Regarding grade level, no significant differences were found
